Requirements and responsibilities for this management position include:



Minimum three years in leathergoods and accessories production management.



Must possess thorough understanding of leathergoods construction and pattern making.



Responsible for supervision of all aspects of development and production of four seasonal merchandise collections including:



• Approve production samples, communicating any product changes from original sample.

• Convert pattern measurements for needed quantities of each SKU.

• Use in-house software to build and record all material and SKU’s.

• Sourcing of all materials – leather, hardware, etc, including placing of orders for all raw materials and maintenance of materials log.

• Maintain relationships with domestic and int’l suppliers.

• Product costing and materials pricing with vendors, negotiating skills required.

• Develop templates for sampling and production processes, spec sheets. Create seasonal material logs, timelines, order grids, production tickets to manufacturers, etc.

• Develop tech-packs and sourcing with overseas factories for some lines.

• Estimate, schedule and coordinate all production activities with delegation of production across various manufacturers and partners.

• Oversee all local and international production to insure timely delivery.

• Track range progress on a daily basis.

• Insure that quality standards are continually met for both raw and finished goods.

• Coordinate with sales and logistics to meet special order deadlines.

• Build seasonal binder with all relevant information.

• Maintain and improve production margins.

• Post production analysis and profitability reporting.

• Maintain inventory of raw materials and finished goods.



Must be able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities simultaneously to insure that flow of all chains of production is uninterrupted.



Must be able to communicate effectively and work closely with other departments and team members in a small company setting, including management of assistants and seasonal interns.
